On May 17, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officially announced that policy director Heather Slavkin Corzo would leave the agency. Corey Klemmer, who most recently served as corporate finance adviser to SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, has been named policy director. Heather has been one of my most trusted advisors over the past three years," said Gensler. "She has provided solid advice and managed a policy agenda that has strengthened protections for the investing public and through achievements ranging from money market fund reform to shortening settlement cycles to strengthening corporate protection against major cybersecurity incidents. I wish her the best of luck.
