ChainCatcher news, Arbitrum released a temperature check proposal in the community to "change the Arbitrum expansion plan to allow the deployment of new Orbit chains on any blockchain". It stated that one limitation of the Arbitrum expansion plan is that security must be obtained on any Ethereum. However, in the past few weeks, the Arbitrum Foundation has received requests from Bitcoin, BNB Chain, and Cosmos ecological projects, and these projects hope to deploy their own Orbit chains on other networks.

Therefore, the Arbitrum Foundation asked the Arbitrum DAO to decide whether the Arbitrum scaling program should be expanded further and allow new Orbit chains to be deployed on blockchains other than Ethereum (and its derivatives). If Arbitrum DAO approves the proposal, the Arbitrum Foundation will be responsible for collecting 10% of the profit income on the new chain, and will eventually migrate the funds to the Arbitrum DAO treasury and the Arbitrum Protocol Guild. The only requirement that a project should consider before deploying on-chain is to check whether the Arbitrum Foundation deploys multisig to collect revenue shares. Multisig is required to help the Arbitrum Foundation collect fees and connect them to the Arbitrum DAO’s treasury on a regular basis.

It is reported that the proposal will organize three governance conference calls at 18:00 on April 22, 00:00 on April 27, and 04:00 on May 1, Beijing time. After community discussion, the proposal will undergo a temperature check on Snapshot, with voting options split between "Any Blockchain Network" and "Ethereum L1 Only."
